I work in IT and believe me, nobody in the real world of IT cares about certifications. To prove this point, I have NO certifications, yet get so many job offers. No employer has ever asked me about certifications being required for a any job I’ve applied for.

I meet so many people in IT who don’t have certifications and who all earn good money.. BECAUSE they know certifications mean nothing and they all have never been asked for certifications!

95% of what you will learn for certifications, you won’t do in an IT job, so what’s the point of learning ‘filler’ as well as wasting time and money?

Certification is designed to make training companies rich and they will keep telling people how important it is, when frankly it’s not.

My advice about IT training, is to get advice from someone who works in IT and not from training companies.

I am a trainer with my company and have been asked to source training in advanced excel(to include pivot tables and VLookUp specifically).

My company is based in Edinburgh so i would want the training to take place locally. What would your per person costs be for training at your venue and how much to deliver an in-house course for 6-8 people specific to my company?

All IIT acreditation proves is you have a couple of grand spare to pay for it. IIT is a marketing gimmick and no mark of quality.
