Glasgow Dialect Causes Early Learning Mayhem

Well well, lots of things are going to be discussed and put into place after the rather resounding win for the main Scots’ party in the general election held a couple of very short weeks ago.    There has always been a different education system in place.  Even back in the 1950s when my brother started school – we lived  up there whilst our father on  three  year posting with the military.   Our brother – fearless and not in the slightest bit Scottish brother had such a struggle to keep  up with what was going on and what he was being asked to do.  Despite our two countries being in a union from the early 1500s, you would never know it with such strong differences in language, legal matters and schooling.  The language barrier shouldn’t come up at all but to be fair, anyone would struggle to learn from a teacher who was born and bred in Glasgow.  That is such a strong accent.  Now this is where distance learning and online educational courses are such a boon.  Text and online lessons are not dependant on hearing speach – lessos come in easy to comprehend chunks of text on the screen!
