With so much thought going into saving the planet and generally reducing our own personal carbon footprint, there comes a time when the thoughts of distance learning can be quite a brilliant idea.  Rather than 500 students all driving themselves or being driven to college, the opportunity to study at home on a regular basis, in the warm with all the other advantages, this could be a good way forward.  Of course, it is necessary to do some searous research into what is available and where.  Of course, in Scotland the education provision at the lower levels differs immensely from the rest of the UK and this will assist the informed choices of where to apply.    There are many reasons to study even after you’ve already got qualifications – you may have a change of job in mind – something much higher up the scale.  For this you will generally need to beef up your existing qualifications and distance learning in your own environment is an ideal solution.
